回复给James Bezos。 Hey James, great thoughts and comments! You're right the Chinese team's results were not published in a peer reviewed journal. Their tests were performed in their lab in Beijing, in an attempt to simulate real world conditions - something that's often difficult to find in papers from journals. I've added a link in the article to the original post from the team (in Chinese), and you can learn more about who they are on their website. What's interesting about this experiment is that it was simulating real world conditions, not lab conditions: the source of the formaldehyde was 3 office desks, that had already been used for 1 year. You're right it's difficult to know the exact amount of formaldehyde released, but 3 office tables can be used as a reasonable bench mark for an 'average office'! I'd love to see the papers published in scientific journals that back up the NASA study, send us a link and if the findings prove contrary to the above findings we can update this article!
